An NPC awaits your acknowledgment...
NPC says, "Oh, boy! Thank goodness you're here. All manner of deadly monsters and merciless foes are making their way into the Jiggmin forum. How they got here, I don't know. I do know, however, that their intrusion must be stopped for the sake of this forum and its users. Please, brave one, lend your hand to fend off these unwelcome visitors."
Hurriedly, the NPC continues, "Oh, yeah! I should probably tell you how to go about fending off these dangerous foes. Quite simply, each post of yours deals a set damage equal to your weapon's power (shown in parentheses after weapon's name). Along with others who join this fight, keep posting to reduce the foe's health to zero, thus defeating it. Those who contribute damage by posting will receive experience and loot, which can be a few things like a more powerful weapon that does more damage per post or an armor suit to improve your defense value. However, you do not receive loot if you are slain in battle, but only experience."
Wide-eyed and trembling, the NPC says, "That brings me to my next point. Foes have a chance-to-kill percentage. By taking this percentage and reducing it by the percent value of your armor's defense value, it will randomly be determined if you were slain during battle. So, let's say your armor has a defense value of 10%, and your opponent has a CTK stat of 30%. You'd then have a 20% chance of being killed in battle. By this process, every participant in a battle will see after if they survived. These battle results, including the loot distribution, will be posted at the conclusion of a battle when the monstrous foe dies."
Anxiously looking over your shoulder at an expanding portal letting through the terrifying sounds of enraged foes, the NPC explains further, "Here, take this wooden staff. It does a measly 1 damage per post, but it'll have to do for now until you level up more, which allows you to carry more powerful gear. The level required to use a specific piece of gear is shown before its name."
A monster sticks its limb out of the portal. "That about covers the bulk of it. Post to join the fight. I'm outta here!" NPC scurries off.
