Welcome to the PR2 Rank Guide

Rank is one of the main aspects of PR2 and it will help you in winning races easier and give you an advantage. (although skill still plays a part).

Your rank is increased when you complete your EXP bar for the level you are on.


As your rank increases you will need more EXP to level up, hence to complete your EXP bar. 

The formula for EXP needed to level up is 1.25^YOUR RANK * 30.
(One point two five to the power of your current rank multiplied by 30).
This value may be higher or lower because it is rounded to a integer value.

If you have not completed your EXP bar it will look like this, where the white bar is how close you are. 

Also under that is how much you are on and how much you need.


There are ways that your rank can be increase by not racing and that is with rank tokens. 
You can earn rank tokens with folding at home, see here for more details.
Also you can buy rank tokens from the Vaults of Magics but they only last for a week.

If you want to level up as fast as possible then you want to play against high ranked players and win the race with a kong hat or EXP hat (Preferably EXP hat).

You may be thinking is rank just something that shows on your profile? 
No, you can use it to increase your stats with the points. 
The number of points you will have for your stats is 150 + YOUR RANK.
Your stats section will look like this.



Speed is the fastest you can get to, acceleration is how fast you accelerate to your maximum speed, and jumping is how high you can jump.
To change your stats just move one of the arrows left or right.

You forgot to mention that for some ranks you actually need one more EXP than the amount the game displays. (This is because the client rounds the required EXP to an integer value, but the server does not round.)

I think it's because the client rounds down while the server rounds to nearest. Otherwise, it would be for every single rank other than 1.

You know, this might be useful one day. Imagine when PR2 gets promoted by Kong again, and we get tons of new players
