I am starting to run now, i am planning to run a 5k on February 28th 2021. this 5k means a lot to me because i have classical galactosemia and so does my brother and sister.
i haven't ran since high school 6 years ago, so my legs are sore af! but i ran track and xc in high school for 4 years and i understand what i am doing and i'm not quiting like the other people i talk to about running.
so while looking up my PRs, i found my old high school rival (he is an exact mirror of my PR times but beat my time for 2mile and 5k the year after i grad hs) and i plan on beating his PR for this upcoming 5k
im thinking i am going to post a blog weekly to post progress on how i am doing on my running upto the race day!

i found my rivals running page back in high school. it turns out his prs are an exact mirror of mine, it seems he has a better pr for a 5k, so for now on, my goal is to beat his time to prove-
-that i still am better and faster than he is. sadly, on one track meet, my coach didnt register me in the system and fortunate for me, someone didnt show up to the bus and i was registered as this guy this time is my current pr for the mile as well as this time for the 800 i did the next day.
5k Sunday February 28 2021
DAY 1 - JANUARY 5th 2021: I ran about 1.5 miles and walked for about .5 miles, IN 29:35' i got a long way to go...
DAY 2 - JANUARY 6TH 2021: WOKE UP SORE AND I PLAN ON MAKING BREAKFAST AND EAT MORE BANANAS ASWELL AS DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.
MY GOAL FOR TODAY IS BEAT THE TIME OF 29:35 ON THE SAME RUN AS YESTERDAY, I KNOW I CAN DO IT DESIPTE ALL THE PAIN IM GOING THROGH.
I RAN THE SAME ROUTE AS YESTERDAY, AND I EASILY BEAT THE TIME, I GOT A TIME OF 22:21' I KNOW I CAN GET UNDER 20 MINUTES!
I CURRENTLY WALK ON THE UPHILLS AS MY HAMSRINGS ARE KILLING ME WITH PAIN EVERYTIME I USE THEM. I WILL COMEBACK TO RUN THIS AGAIN SOON,
AFTER I CAN OVERCOME THE HILLS.
DAY 3 - JANUARY 7th 2021: MY DAY OFF FROM WORK, SO WILL TRY TO GET A RUN IN MID-DAY A FEW HOURS AFTER BREAKFAST, SO I CAN HAVE LUNCH.
