It probably has something to do with the Rank Token glitch, nobody really knows what the patch did exactly.

Regarding the EXP table thread... they just copied Atari's thread from Acid (http://forums.acidch.at/showthread.php?tid=1875).

I now understand why you never edited it yourself, I'd have to overwrite the whole thing using Excel. Maybe someday yep :/
