Depends on the assignment and what it was for.
Google Drive has good, free word processing.

Even microsoft themselves offer word and excel online for editing documents. All you have to do is login.

Yup, I've got LibreOffice on the Linux PC. I completely forgot about the other apps I could've used hahah
