Upon clicking this number (total posts?), the box that pops up has the number +1.

I'm pretty sure it's referring to replies. There are only 3 replies to that post as of that screenshot. I'm just assuming tho, so

Even if that's a case, clicking the 3 should show that there's 3 replies, not 4.
