Random player position differences - Master Raiden - 31st December 2023 Original Bug Report: [PR2 Bug] Seemingly random chance that this wont work When you enter a level or test a level in Level Editor, there is a small chance that something happens to your player's position. Apparently your position gets rounded differently which can affect the gameplay of levels involving precise maneuvers such as Don't Moves and glitch levels. I added this filter to the beginning of Pixel Perfect by Devious Taylor (6511621) to make sure the player's position wasn't glitched. Try replaying that level until you hit the mine. It only happens about 1 in 50 times. ![]() Videos showing a player passing and failing this filter: Passed: https://i.imgur.com/B3Dwhmo.mp4 Failed: https://i.imgur.com/U0yjB30.mp4 If you pause both videos on the frame before the mine is hit, you can see that both players are in the exact same position, but one hits the mine while the other one doesn't. In the very next frame, the position of both players is also exactly the same, so this is a weird glitch. Not sure if it should be fixed, but posting anyway for knowledge sharing. |
