Ex boyfriend, ex girlfriend, ex partner etc.
At the end a romantic relationship, can a couple still be platonic friends?

Of course, doesn't work for everyone (maybe not even most) but there are people who split up but stay friends without issue

Absolutely, but it highly depends on the context. Sometimes, relationships just don't work out for whatever reason, not necessarily because one is abusive, cheating, etc.

It depends on how the relationship ended but there are factors to consider as well such as how both of their personalities were; are they willing enough to remain friends even if their relationship didn't work? Every relationship has different context, different situations and some relationships just plain don't work out at all even if there was no feud among the couples but that doesn't necessarily mean they cannot be friends after that.

Yes. It all depends on each individual situation and circumstances. I have known plenty of people who mutually ended relationships and have still remained friends. People break-up over stuff like moving away or having different long-term intentions where there is no ill-will to either person.

Yes. I have an ex who I have remained close with. And many other people with whom I have dated that are friends currently.
The big barrier is if I have a regular reason to see them or keep in contact, otherwise I tend to drift apart even if we could have remained friends.

When my ex and i broke up, when ended up keeping things friendly and even to this day I still cheer on her endeavors in life. She’s good people it was just a mix of several factors that ended things.
