PRF: What we know
(20th June 2019, 1:41 AM)Northadox Wrote: I was thinking that Jiggs would make it so that the physics would be shared between the old PR2 and the new PRF. He could have a  change of heart and wants the old PR2 ActionScript code to be translated to JavaScript, but I'm fine with a new set of physics to play around with. I just want to know what the actual PRF LE will have in store.
Is there a reason he picked JavaScript besides Flash dying? I'm guessing its more similar to ActionScript and what he knows, tho I've heard C# is good for game development, idk about Java (heard it and JavaScript are actually quite different)

At least Jiggmin not sticking to PR2 physics means that now we're not extremely limited in terms of physics

I hope that PRF gets a huge-rework. The level system makes it harder to win races the less you play, and hats are extremelly situational, to the point where they could be useless.

Is Jiggmin going to be using this forum for PRF or make a whole new one?

Anyone herd about what platform racing 3 reborn's devloper has been working on? Apparently he and his own group is gonna develop thier own platform racing game from scratch. So far they are calling it racing on platforms. It's a shame all these platform racing projects never get finished so far Frown

Afaik, it's supposed to be a remake of PR3 in another engine (to fix bugs probably?). isokissa3 has been working on it now for some time.

This was 2 days ago but Jiggmin renamed Jiber to hiDB. See the commit here.

He also updated a bunch of the dependencies (I think that's what deps is).

There is a website for it aswell which is https://hidb.io but a lot of the stuff hasn't been setup yet and it's just the default text.

I wonder what the change is for? I liked Jiber quite a bit. It was a nice and inspired name.

About PRF...unfortunately, no commits in 2 months. Frown

PRF GitHub was finally updated after 2 months with 6 new commits.

There will hopefully be some more soon as the mine is apparently not fully fixed.

I'll wait a day or two then post a clip of what the changes look like.
