Hoping that my internal transfer goes through at work. This would be my third attempt in 3 months at trying to get out of my current role. I'm actually cross trained in more roles in the department I'm trying to get into than the one I'm currently in.

Hiya guys! It has been a while, ended up disappearing for a few months (and before I really got round to posting much here, honestly). My days have been up and down, though I've been getting by. I hope everyone here has been doing okay! Although I can see things haven't been the best for everyone currently :c

I finally got that promotion! It went pretty well, and I've got a decent grasp at it already. Only thing I'm worried about: my thumb locked in place 3 or 4 times. I don't know what to do about that. I may need to get surgery, but I don't want a 'murica healthcare bill.

I'm happy you managed to get that promotion! It's a good step forward. I definitely understand the concerns about your thumb though. From what I know, America's healthcare has a lot to be desired, going off the experiences I've heard from the American friends I have. Still, if it's possible for a check-up that isn't too costly, I would recommend it. Hopefully it does not worsen.

Taking a break from social media can definitely help. I never really got involved in mainstream social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, which I see as a good thing for the most part, especially Twitter after seeing what it can be like. But Discord I got pretty active on and at some point I just left most servers I was in because it hit a point where I was either just lurking most of them or being involving in them didn't really do anything for me? Moreso the bigger community servers. I prefer small groups a lot more.

My personal experience aside, I hope you can destress and feel better mentally after your break.

That's horrible, I'm sorry that happened. Hope the implant for the fake tooth goes smoothly at least, but it still sucks you have to get one put in, in the end, especially due to someone or a group of people doing harm to you. If it is okay for me to ask, how did the attack happen?

I was just walking home from a late night store run, got stopped by a guy close by my apartment and after a small exchange and me asking him to relax he hit me to the ground and kicked me in the face multiple times.

I see. :< that's nasty, he definitely had a short fuse. Are you able to report to the police about it if you haven't already done so? If you feel it's safe or worth it to do so. I'm concerned about people like that being on the streets, though either way, hopefully you never encounter them again.

I saw a specialist for my wrists. They confirmed that I have tendonitis in them. They gave me a shot of cortisone in each wrist. The last few days have been rough, needless to say. Hopefully it starts helping soon. I keep having to miss work.

I went on vacation and got to see my long distance boyfriend for 5 days. It was probably the best 5 days of my life. Then when it came time to leave, I couldn't stop crying. I realized, I don't know when I'll be able to hold his hand again. I don't know when I'll get to hug him again. Long distance relationships are so hard, but I love @ZackTheMedic so much and I will do everything I can to make this work.

Also, I got to see Hololive cosplayers and I met/talked to TheRunawayGuys (Well, ProtonJon and NintendoCapriSun) who I have been watching for over 10 years and are basically my childhood heroes.

I guess you could say I am feeling bittersweet.
