Well **** me dead. Coming to this community brings back some weird feelings. It's strange to think about where I was almost 10 years ago when I first signed up to JV. Now that (most) of the people in this community are probably somewhat functioning adults in society now, I figured I'd make this thread.

What were you doing with yourself when you first signed up to JV?

Where are you now in your life?

Where do you want to go in the future?

I signed up first because my older sister introduced me to PR2. She was probably around middle school age while I must've been in elementary school. Later, I created this account.

Now, my sister is through college and I'm in high school.

In the future, I'm hoping to go to the University of Michigan.

was going to post this last night but had to wait for a mod approval for the thread first wtf

When I signed up to JV on December 21st 2008, I was just a bored kid who had just discovered online gaming. I love doing nothing but trolling & staying up all night getting titty pics from grills online and talking to all my friends on PR2 (jk was trying to send them keyloggers half the time). I'd just started high school at this point and probably spent way too much time playing PR2 and not focusing on school but hey I did alright in the end.

Currently I'm working in the IT support centre for one of the largest clothing companies in New Zealand/Australia and I love it.

In the future, I want to expand into more systems administration work & specialise in computer security.

What were you doing with yourself when you first signed up to JV?
It was back in late 2010 or early 2011 I believe, I had just finished all my homework and got online on PR2, when I first found out about JV, on the main chat.

I didn't post anything until around early 2014, and siince I'd actually entered my real DoB, I had to wait my COPPA ban out until I could request an unban.

Where are you now in your life?
Currently an undergraduate, doing a Diploma in IT.

While I'm at it, I'm also building up a source of a passive income via Redbubble

Where do you want to go in the future?
First, after I learn PHP, I hope to contribute to the PR2 server :3

I plan to do a degree in Software Engineering, and perhaps get a job from where I am now.

I do want to move to Singapore for work after I get more experience on the job. The pay is pretty high for these sort of jobs there (for the Senior Software Engineers; SGD $100k per year), even though cost of living is really high.
So I'd have two options:
- Move to Singapore and try to survive the cost of living
- Move to Johor Baharu (in Malaysia) and wake up really early and drive to Singapore for work every morning

A friend suggested that places like the UK are also pretty alright, but what I'm not so sure if it'll go well these days, with all the "Islamophobists" sending death threats to Muslims

When I first signed up to JV, I was playing a lot of freakin' games on my laptop. TF2, Terraria, and of course, PR2. I drew silly characters in MS Paint. Now I draw a lot more deviant things, but that's a topic for later.
I'm employed at a major retail chain, being quite incompetent. I don't even know how I landed the job.
For the future, I have no clue. I just want to make it, somehow. Have an impact, as silly as that is.

Underrated thread, found pr2 11 years ago on a gaming site called funny games.com when I was 11 years old little did I know I’d spend 2 straight years of this game playing very regularly being one of the few level 40 accounts back in 09 the golden days of pr2. Completely forgot about the game for 3 or so years came back in 2014 found that the game was still a blast but had completely changed and the player count had dropped to only 1 server instead of the all being full. Played for another year or so grinded out a new level 50 account and stopped playing in 2015

Present, four years later here I am back on this game/thread only for a dose of nastalgia sadly the game is dead beyond no return But pr2 has had its run and will also be a game I remember Crazy looking back on it started when I was 10 now I’m 21 working full time as electrician In the mines

I was 12 and going through middle school I guess, it wasn't a great time really

24 and I have a decent job working in IT, I'm actually pretty happy with where I'm at right now, the last two years have been pretty good to me

No real big plans aside from getting into investing I guess and maybe moving to Virginia

Past:
I recently became thirteen and received a computer for my birthday and remembered this place from playing PR2 from the year or two before. Going to middle school and being a thirteen year old.

Present:
I am twenty-one (turning twenty-two in August) and I am entering my fourth and hopefully final year of university and I am looking to become a professional airplane pilot. I have also learned the glories of aging with having bad knees.

Future:
I am looking to earn a full time job piloting. Even if that does not work, a job in the aviation field is a good compromise and I can fly on my own time.

Hmm Interesting thread, I like it!

(13th March 2018, 3:44 AM)Joel Wrote: What were you doing with yourself when you first signed up to JV?

I was around 8-9 years old, I really enjoyed Platform Racing 2 so I decided to join JV.

Most of the time I was making unnecessary threads and was arguing with JV members. (What an annoying 8yo I was, and my grammar was even worse than it is now.)

PR2 had a big impact on me, that's why I'm a programmer now.

I have finished high school and currently am applying to Corvinus University.

I am a part time programmer at a company.

I have several projects that I'm working on, so my goal is to start my own company - someday in the future.

If I achieve a relatively large wealth, I'd like to create small-films (like Black Mirror) and help people in some ways.
a casual human being.
I come online here every 4-5 months or so. But hey. JV is still alive!

Past | I joined in 2009, loved pr2 and played often. I did not find out about JV until pr2 died and whe jiggmin.com went down. Frown which is why Atari4600 was off grid since he joined.

Present | Just turned 20 on June 16th, Just got married on June 22nd. majoring in mechanical engineering, I work two jobs, just bought a house and moving in on August 20th. and I do not play pr2 anymore, with the above going on am a little busy.

Future | I want a good job to hopefully support six kids.
