I remember hating the one going through Burns' mansion

It certainly looks pretty difficult. I used to play this game a lot during my teenage years. It’s a shame I never did beat the game, though. I think the farthest I’ve ever gotten was Marge. I never knew there were 3 more missions after that. I’m assuming you’ve beaten the game already, and you know all the shortcuts.

I never beat it as a kid, but I did beat it about 2 years ago. Alien "Auto"topsy Part III was brutal.

@Mia Set to Kill or Alien Autopsy? Which one is the hardest for you? It looks like Set to Kill seems to have the most votes. It is quite annoying when your car blows up or you get busted by the cops.

Oh, Set to Kill is harder, no doubt. My strategy on that mission was to purposely get busted after the pier part, so there would be less obstacles on the remainder. But getting back to Krustylu Studios was virtually impossible for me. I think I ended up skipping that mission.

It seems like you could beat the Krusty Studios part of the mission by taking shortcuts. I will say this: that villain car does look pretty awkward. You’d think they’d at least add some more damage resistance to it.

You would think so, but with a vehicle that controls that badly it's no wonder they call it a villain car.

It's the same thing that makes Alien "Auto"topsy Part III so difficult. That WWII car handles so poorly, but at least the time limits are a bit more lenient.

I remember one of my friends having Simpsons H&R because their parents refused to get them GTA 3 or Vice City.

@Mia this doesn’t make any sense just how difficult this, fan-made modding level is. If I played this, I’d be so stressed out that it’s not even funny.

The creativity of the modding community is astounding. I wouldn't be able to get very far on that level.

I have thought about getting a windows laptop and creating something similar like that, then post it online. It looks like a ton of fun because technically they have the same functionality as pr2 does - you know, with the boxes and all.

You should give it a go! Modding is really fun, and way more accessible than it used to be. I've wanted to try participating in one of SimpleFlips' SM64 romhack competitions, but I've been too lazy.

By the way, I checked the description of one of those videos to see if they had any pointers on how they modded the game, and turns out it's actually not a mod at all - it looks like they're trying to faithfully recreate Crash 1 / 2 in Unity. The game actually include a level editor too, so if you really just want to make Crash levels I guess you don't even need to get into modding: https://gembit.itch.io/crash-back-in-time

Well at first, I was more so leaning towards just creating crash levels. On the other hand, modding does sound like a lot of fun because it gives you the unique ability to add features to the game that wasn’t there before. At first, I was intimidated to learn modding because I thought you needed to have some expertise in coding. But from what I’ve heard, it turns out you don’t because it’s pretty straightforward.

I’d love to give it a go one day, man! I just need to discipline myself and stop being so freakin’ lazy.

It's crazy impressive. It looks like a completely different game.

@Different They started macroing again when I got close to passing HelpACC in exp

My theory is they don't want anyone else being ahead of them, some 4 person pact going on

I knew it wouldn’t last very long. I predicted this like 2 years ago. Are you literally going for Rank 80?

I'll keep going until I have a reason to stop. Rank 80 would be pretty cool to reach. I would still be the first verified account to reach that milestone.
