Not to be a dick but you're kind of comparing people with not much of a social life with people who also don't have much of a social life. Not that that's a terrible thing or anything, to each their own, but having a "life" generally means doing interesting and new things with people in real life rather than sitting at home watching tv, playing video games, and talking to people online.
Obviously most people balance both of those things, but the high rank simmers... considering how much time they put into simming its really not a possibility for them to have a "life". Living your life is different than having a life.
