Challenge 8: Day at the Races

We’re keeping it simple this round (next round will make up for it, don’t worry) with a luck-based challenge.

I love luck. Most people don’t realize how much luck goes into winning Survivor. Obviously it takes skill, alliances, etc, but every player who wins had a bit of luck at some point or another. So this challenge will be dedicated to luck. 🍀 (Challenge named after one of my favorite mini games from Mario Party 2.)

I found a nice horse racing simulator online. We’re having ourselves a good ‘ol fashioned race! Anyone could win.

I named the ten horses after key words often found in Survivor.

How we will do it.

•Select any horse.
•It’s first come first served! If you’re reading this, hurry and make up you mind!
•The fun part: try to pick a horse based off the game you’re playing OR the message you wanna send.
•Include flavor text with your choice. Explain why you picked it. Make waves! Call someone out.
•Post decision in this thread.

Here are the horse names:

Winner gets individual immunity and is safe from elimination. Then Tribal Council, where someone will be the eighth person voted out and the second member of the jury.

Post your choice! Once everyone has selected I will post the video result.

Bringing an old classic back. This was always the challenge I used at the beginning of the merge back in the day, so of course I gotta bring it back!

Each player must send me a PM choosing which door they would like to enter. If you go in a door that another player chose, then you’re both out. You must try to go into doors that no one else chooses to win.

One or two players can win individual immunity. If we end up with two, both will receive it. But if it goes right to one, then just that person wins.

If multiples go into every door, we will only eliminate the door with the most people if need be and the others will move on.

Ask questions if needed. Here are the doors. Please PM me your choice!

MrGlad and TheBreeze will not be participating since they chose to chill in the Captain’s Corner.

Time for the cherry on top of the merge. We will be holding a challenge to allow one player who has been voted out of the game a chance to get BACK INTO THE GAME! Yes, you read that right.

The seven that I just listed all have an opportunity to participate in this challenge, if they so wish.

This will be the only time a player voted of the game will have a chance to get back in. Take advantage.

Whoever wins this challenge will come back into the game, and get to be a part of the merge and also be on the jury.

What’s the challenge, you ask? Well, if you read the title then you may already know…

I thought, what can I do to these eliminated players to truly force them to have to earn their way back in? I figured I’d have to do a challenge that I would not impose upon the players who are in the game. They don’t deserve this torture (they get enough torture from me as it is lol). I feel that it is fair game with eliminated players, though!

We will be doing the good ‘ol fashioned… Post-a-thon.

It’s simple: in about 23 hours from when I posted this, I will re-open this thread: all players eliminated must simply spam in this thread. I will close it again from 24 hours after I began the challenge. Whichever eliminated player gets the most posts in this thread will get to come back into the game! You’ll miss the merge feast, but hey, at least you’ll be back in.

When I re-open this thread tomorrow night, the challenge will begin! Can’t wait to see who tries. Best of luck to all!

WELCOME TO THE MERGE!

Welcome, all who are left, to the merge.

MrGlad, Kursed, TRUC, Resarekt, Dan-83, bls1999, TheBreeze, SirPepa781, JEEJAYEM, Silky Silver: congratulations on reaching the merge! It’s not an easy thing to do in this game, so I commend the ten of you for reaching this point in the game.

But now, please brace yourself because this is where the game gets real. It’s an individual game now. No competing tribes, just one brand new merged tribe. All challenges will be individual now. The winners of challenges will receive individual immunity and be safe from the following Tribal Council.

We have a few other happenings/activities, read about them below:

MERGE FEAST

Bringing something I’ve never brought to JV Survivor: a merge feast!

I have an image with ten different snacks!

Post what snack you want in this thread. It’s first come first serve so post your selection in this thread ASAP!

One snack has a clue hidden below it. Whoever picks that snack will receive a clue to a SUPER SPECIAL ADVANTAGE made by Old JV’s Season 7 Winner Princess Zelda (my wife lol). This is a brand new original advantage that could change the game forever. Whoever finds the clue will get a head start on looking for this advantage. Everyone else will get to see this clue after the first individual immunity challenge. All of the other snacks have nothing underneath, so enjoy the satisfaction of what you choose to eat. Immerse yourself.

NAME YOUR TRIBE

In the real show, the players who make the merge get to decide what their tribe will be called.

So, in this thread, I want the ten of you all to decide what your tribe will be named!

The tribe color is going to be yellow. I made the two original names Latin, so you could stick with the theme of that or go down your own route. Your tribe your choice. Just come to a decision together here!

FINAL CAPTAIN’S TWIST

It’s time for the final captain’s twist of the game. This twist was only going to happen if both captains (MrGlad and TheBreeze) made the merge. Which they did.

I am going to PM them both a decision. It’s a possible twist that can only happen if they both agree on it. We’ll see what happens with that.

OTHER THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN

Keep your eyes peeled for another thread. Another twist is coming that will be the cherry on top of this merge!

Challenge 6: Follow the Sushie

A simple (depending how you look at it) challenge, with a lot on the line.

Time for another posting challenge that involves me!

Rules are simple:

Post the same minute as me in this thread and you earn one point for your tribe.

You can only score one point per post, which means you can’t score multiple points off of one post I did.

Details:

I will post ten different times throughout the challenge (numbering each official post one through ten).

Don’t worry, I won’t do invisible mode. I’ll just be logged on all the time to the point of where you won’t know if I’m actually going to post or not. I could go hours without one, or maybe do two or three posts back to back to back.

This means that each team can score a maximum of fifty points.

The doozy part:

If neither tribe scores 25 points or higher, then both tribes will each have their own Tribal Council, which means two players will be voted out of the game. If both tribes score 25 or higher, then only the lower scoring tribe will go to Tribal Council.

High-stakes challenge. Oh, and did I mention that this is the last challenge before the merge? Don’t fall short. Go all in. This is it. Get through this, and you’ll for sure make the jury. Don’t slip up now. A lot on the line.

MrGlad, your tribe has one extra player. Choose someone to sit out. It cannot be Resare.

Once that’s figured out, we will move towards beginning the challenge.

Challenge 5: + & -

Each player receives 2 total choices.
For each choice, they may either:
• give a player a (+) point
• OR give a player a (-) point
Choices may be used in any combo (+ +, - -, + -).

Players may target:
• anyone on either tribe.
• this INCLUDES members of their own tribe (including yourself).
Both choices may also be placed on the same player.

The results of what each player chose will remain anonymous, so no one will know what you choose in this challenge. Each player begins with a score of zero. Highest scoring tribe wins. Players can go into the negatives.

This is going to be one of those challenges that tests alliances. With choices being anonymous, this challenge allows you to potentially work with someone on the other tribe. Have fun!

Gaudeo, you have two extra members. MrGlad, please choose two to sit out. You cannot pick TRUC since he sat out last time. (Two players can also step forth and volunteer to sit out also.)

Once that choice is made, players can begin sending in their choices.

Challenge 4: First and Last

After all the craziness of the last few rounds with all the twists, this time around, we’re keeping it simple and classic. Bringing an old fav back. Posting without the spamming. First and Last.

It’s simple, here’s how it works: the first and last post in each hour will score one point apiece for that person’s tribe. Most points wins. No fancy-shmancy stuff this time. Just good old posting good times with players who just wanna play the game.

Gaudeo, you have one extra member. MrGlad, please choose someone to sit-out. Can’t be Uptight 534 since he sat out last time. Post your decision in the main thread or message me.

After MrGlad makes his choice, we’ll gear up to begin. No starting time. Either later in the day or tomorrow will it begin. This thread will remain closed until the challenge begins (posting takes place in this thread of course). When it begins, I’ll open this thread and post “SURVIVORS READY? GO!” The challenge will end approximately 24 hours after it begins (I’ll close it when it ends).

It’s time for potentially one of the biggest twists of this season:

PANDORA’S BOX

What’s in it? Only one way to find out. By opening it and letting it happen.

Here’s how this is going to work: PANDORA’S BOX will only open if one player from each tribe steps up to open it together. First player from each tribe to step forth and volunteer to open it, will get to. Things good and bad could happen. The player from each tribe that opens it could walk away with potential power. However, there will be a potential trial to go through, which very well will paint a target on both players backs who chose to open it.

I will close this thread to give people time to read this and think. At some point in the day, I’ll re-open this thread. First player from each tribe to step forward and volunteer in this thread, will take part in PANDORA’S BOX.

If we don’t get PANDORA’S BOX open in the next day or so, we will move on to the next challenge.

Be careful, you might not like what you see in there. But, doing this stuff is what makes Survivor Legends…

Survivor Rules

The goal is to be the last man standing. The Sole Survivor.

We start out on tribes (teams). Win challenges to stay in the game. If your tribe loses, you must go to Tribal Council and vote someone out of the game (You cannot vote for yourself.)

At a certain point in the game, we will merge and it will be every person for themselves. The challenges become individual instead of team-based (with special exceptions sometimes). You’ll play for Individual Immunity; this will make you immune from votes at Tribal Council.

If you cannot win challenges, then the best thing you can do is create alliances with other players to ensure they don’t vote you out. Just don’t be surprised if you get stabbed in the back… There will be twists, and items in this game to help turn things in your favor.

Once we have 2 players left in the game, they will make their case to the jury explaining why they deserve to win over the other person in the final 2. The jury is comprised of players voted out in the merge. They vote for who they think played the best game. Whichever player gets more votes wins and is the Sole Survivor!

Challenge 3: Hide Box, Shoot Box

This next challenge is one we did once back in the day, but slightly tweaked. Let’s see if any of you remember it… I present:

Challenge 3: Hide Box, Shoot Box
A mind game. I have an image with 6 boxes. Each player on both tribes (except for captains MrGlad and TheBreeze) must choose 1 box to hide in. Then each captain will each privately PM me telling me which box they’d like to shoot (with paint!). If you’re in a box chosen by either captain (yes, even your own captain), then that means you’re out.

Whichever tribe has more players left after the round is over wins. If both tribes are tied, we will do another round with who is left in the challenge.

Communication is key in the challenge. Strategize with others. Is it better to group people together, or spread them thin?

BONUS TWIST: if in the first round, if only 1 player ends up in a box, that player gets an instant-advantage that they must use immediately. Effects of it will depend on if you win or lose.

Gaudeo, you have 1 extra member. MrGlad, please tell me who you’d like to sit out on your tribe for this challenge. Can’t choose yourself.

After MrGlad chooses who to sit out (someone can also volunteer), I will post the picture of boxes and everyone can PM me their choices.
