Removing CSMTextSettings also fixes the problem, and in Animate, setting name tags to anti-alias for animation removes CSMTextSettings, so it looks like that's the way to go. Latisty (one of the affected PR3 players) stopped being affected by it. He got it to happen again by unplugging his controller.
