On the level editor, I remember there was a block limit, as in, at a certain point you couldn't place anything because you were limited to a certain number of blocks, although I'll admit it was a large number, but I wanted to make huge levels.

Yes there is still a block limit of 50000. There is also a limit in the upward and sideways direction
