Jokes aside: TRUC, I love you. A good player, a great person, and just so dang funny! One of the highlights of this season is all the humor you bring to the table when you would send in your responses. You are a good person and I can’t state enough how much of a joy it has been to have you play this season. One of the greatest all-time legends.

Fun fact: you were my wife Princess Zelda’s #1 pick for this season! I can reveal that now that you’re eliminated.

What else can be said that hasn’t been said? I’ll always be honored to be one half of the iconic #SushieTRUC. Hopefully we can bring that back someday (is the host proposing future alliances for BB?)!

But yes, the honour has truly been all mine, TRUC. Enjoy your time on the jury, and thanks for playing!

In what is a huge surprise, secret, and shock to...apparently absolutely no one 😂...I was sitting on two immunity idols for much of the game.

But here's the thing: more idols, more problems - amirite? Of course there were countless times I was tempted to play an idol on myself. But I always wanted to save them for something - or someone - else. 

Then came the Pandora's Box II. When Resare and TRUC ended up in the first council with Breeze, GJM, and Silky Silver, the plan was for me to give Resare and TRUC each an idol to play. Even if Addy got TRUC's spot instead, Resare still would've got an idol to play.

So Breeze leaving the game actually saved me 1-2 idols. Which actually felt quite bad. I was excited to make a big move, but more than anything, I didn't want to personally benefit from someone I call a friend (ok, frenemy if we're being real 😎) stepping away from Survivor. To me, from that moment on, the idols were basically invalid.  

After the first part of Pandora's Box II turned out in the way it did, I resolved to pretend like the idols didn't exist any more. I always would've rather been evicted than play an idol I felt like I shouldn't even have. And I'm proud to say those idols have now officially expired.

I only bring this up now because: I really appreciated the conversation we had over the weekend about the state and temperature of the game. I noticed Pandora's Box II came up and I know the outcome of that twist is still upsetting. This post isn't meant to dismiss anyone's feelings at all, but I do hope the additional context and background info - the fact that both idols were essentially earmarked for a specific purpose and then discarded once they weren't needed after all - helps folks feel even just a tiny bit better.

Here's to an idol-free rest of the game!

Going off that — I have heard fair criticisms from both sides up to this point. I believe the best thing we can do is agree that everything is even Steven’s and go forth into an amazing finale stretch with amazing people!

All good things must come to an end eventually. Your amazing run is one of those things, Silky. You played a really amazing game! One of the best newcomers to the game. You won the most individual immunities this season (three)! And you outlasted your entire Aura tribe. I know that wasn’t easy, but you showed resilience. You came out of this season as a fan-favorite and a true legend. Thanks for playing, and enjoy your time on the jury.

Two Tribal Councils and a challenge in one day. What a time. That’s how you know we’re in the finale stretch. In real Survivor that’s usually Final 5 so this has lined up quite nicely.

Anyways…

A HUGE CONGRATZ TO OUR FINAL 3, MRGLAD, DAN-83, AND BLS1999!!!

With you three making it, that means that Gaudeo successfully made the endgame. A true tip of the hat to you three. In the real show, the Final 3 pop a bottle of champagne and celebrate by reminiscing. Feel free to do so figuratively.

However, the game isn’t over. Now you three will go at it in the final challenge of the season, and the winner of that challenge will have a tough decision to make: who to take to the Final 2 with you. Who will you have the best shot of winning against? We will find out soon.
