i wish emulating mario 64 was easier than it is, or well i've at least had a hella hard time

Kind of very easy to emulate mario 64.
I just use PJ64. I know I'm supposed to use another emulator but I'm so very use to PJ64. I had been using it for 20 years now and I quite like it.

i was trying to use parallel but it didnt want to work, i just got it to work by using retroarch and mupen64plus, sometimes you gotta just say "yes im aware that malicious roms can **** with my pc if i emulate thru this but i just really want to play mario" and i said just that. not planning to download malicious roms tho

Only thing malicious that a pj64 did to my computer, is when I were playing star fox 64, it just had made the screen turn brighter at the beginning of the game(Where the Nintendo logo pops up) that doesn't really happen anymore

Though I'm not gonna download anything at all malicious, the plugins I mainly use on PJ64 nowadays are mainly 
glideN64 and the old(Jabo direct)/new default PJ64 plugin.

i did basically the same thing bought a gaming laptop and when the guy asked what i was wanting to play on it i said "runescape mostly"

i think parallel launcher just hates me and my computer bc it just WONT load any roms or rom hacks, i dont want visual plugins personally i KNOW my computer sucks at that but then its so easy (in theory) to load roms straight from romhacking.com onto the launcher *head in hands*
