The bots probably usually enters either the most recently updated threads, or most popular, which this one is both. And then after they mark those threads, it tries to stay up to date on it. So because they think this thread is important they have to read through all 800+ pages of shitposts and come back everytime there's new posts. All this to appease their master, which is probably Google, to help understand what Jiggmin2.com is. (Based on my crude understanding of web crawlers.)
