Basically this. Looking at the 29 March update on https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ (the main statskeeping page for F(at)H) the project went from about 8,000 active users to 170,000 active users. Or, to put it into a better perspective, we used to trade off the 1st/2nd spot of total users at a bit below 20,000 total users. There's a team out there with over 50,000 active. Maybe my favorite thing to look at is the one where I'm pretty sure Amazon just threw one or a few of their cloud servers at the Folding project and, on 01 April, it put up more points in one day than we have in our history. There's big guns out there, and a whole helluva lot of small guns out there. For those of us in America, it's like the toilet paper situation: We get some on the shelves, and boom, it's gone. Just like that with WUs.
