Damn, there are a lot of rules to the hypothetical. I assume there aren't any boats docked to drive out to her with a life preserver. I assume I can't put on a life jacket so I don't drown so I can swim out to her. I assume there aren't any lifeguards on duty, even though it's the country's most lethal beach. What kind of person shoots at a random jerk instead of saving his gf? Guess I'll have the bf shoot me and beg him to rescue her.
