some things that seem like they'd be easy to implement are
- Always place/remove a block if the mouse is down, regardless of whether the cursor is actually moving (like in PR3)
- Scroll wheel to zoom in and out (like in PR3)
those are the main things that make PR2's editor feel worse to use (for me)
I imagine incorporating anything actual feature stuff (custom art layers or custom blocks) from pr3's editor is probably a nightmare considering all the extra stuff you'd have to implement, both for UI, in physics, for saving, etc (I've seen pr2's client code and oh my god)
