What’s the security level like there? Is it like hi-tech security where everything is state-of-the-art, and they have cameras, metal doors, and guards everywhere, or is it easy for someone to escape from there? I asked because I’ve seen a lot of documentaries on YouTube where former inmates have shared their experiences that were based on how they escaped from prison using weaknesses in the system, and how they got caught.

So I will say its a mixture of old and new stuff. This prison was built in the the 1930's (I believe) and its age shows it. A lot of stuff is really antiquated but they have made security modern. They have barbed wire, double fencing and trip wires. Security was tight as metal detectors were the norm and only see through bags were permitted. The prison also is basically in the middle of nowhere and could cause someone to be disoriented. No one escaped during my time and I havent heard of anyone doing so either. The main weakness I think is just staffing issues, as COs are constantly working overtime or double shifts.
