Even though Wikipedia generally isn’t the best site to pull up information about something (as anyone can edit it and put in false information), I’ll admit that after doing meticulous research (on crumple zones and the comparison between metal and modern cars), I was wrong. However, in certain situations, we can’t discount or dismiss the fact that it still has its disadvantages compared to metal cars.

The modern advancement of technology has allowed modern cars to appear more superior and safe for drivers versus metal cars. If older cars (particularly ones made out of metal) had more crumpled zones and advanced features, then they would outclass plastic ones in terms of safety for the driver. At the end of the day, metal is still tougher than plastic.
