It’s always great to have someone to rely on when you can’t do certain things for yourself. With transportation, I can sympathize with that for other people because of road rages and car accidents. For me, I can’t stand waiting on someone to pick me up because I’ve had people in the past give me the impression that I’m going to be waiting a long time for them to show up.
Living on your own is the best thing that can happen to a person. It’s freedom to make your own choices whenever you feel like it.

Half of these aren't relevant to me, but the half that are I do (if you count renting for having your own place)
Well at least you don’t have to worry about lawn care or fixing anything in your apartment. Usually those things are the landlords responsibility. I’d also imagine that you do cook for yourself. As for me, I tend to eat out sometimes because I don’t always feel like cooking.
