Tonfa - Noun
Originally used in eastern martial arts, a tonfa is a baton that extends backwards, covering the length of the user's forearm. It is more defensive than most melee weapons. They are now used by modern police forces and are known as 'side-handle' batons.
Characters that use tonfas in popular media exclusively are rare. There is Talim from Soul Calibur, Makoto Nanaya from Blazblue, and K'Sante from League of Legends. Many other characters use tonfas, but not as their primary.
