The UK petition hit its goal of 100k yesterday and the EU petition hit its goal of 1M today due to greater public awareness and a final push before deadlines (UK 14th July, EU 31st July)
The EU one probably needs 1.2M-1.3M because of signature verification (from what I heard)
The UK one I don't think needs the same kinda buffer, but it's at 135k now anyway so should be fine either way
