There's a number of forums I used to enjoy frequenting that are gone now sadly. Shame to see that forums as a medium seem to be on the downfall.

May not be super active anymore, but this one is still up at least.

Yeah sadly things like facebook pretty much killed forums. Things that would've been talked about on forums moved on to private facebook groups. Pretty annoying since facebook has horrible search functions and private groups on facebook don't get indexed on search pages like forums used to so searching for these topics now show less results since it's all in facebook hell haha
