I always say a data science project may involve 100 different steps. AI is fine for helping out with many, if not most, of those steps. But I still have to take it one step at a time and review output and give very specific input in-between each step. I see a lot of people try to have AI do all 100 steps in a single go, and that usually ends up in disaster.
I'm sure it's very similar in your software development work!
ah yeah i do share that sentiment because reviewing code is much more boring than building it yourself haha
and yeah i rarely do everything in one shot. The only time I really like using it is for when I need to write a complex algorithm and for unit tests
although there's this thing called spec-driven development that can make AI more likely do an entire thing in one shot correctly

I'm a masters student and THE GROUP PROJECTS I HAVE TO DO ARE THE MOST FRUSTRATING THING EVER. Thanks to AI.

Oof. I’ve avoided any classes that have projects so far, hopefully I can keep that up

Is your masters in data science or something else?

I'm pretty sure it was me, considering I made a post in there a few hours prior to it going down
