Is it the game disc???

Let me try a different game

It's not the game disc, same buzzing noise on The Simpsons: Hit & Run both with and without using the capture card/converter
Reply
Let me try a different console to see if it's related to my PS2 console
Reply
Yep, no buzzing at all with my Gamecube. The game audio is way louder than the microphone audio, but I can adjust that in OBS.

So the buzzing is related to my PS2.

So now I don't know if it's the RCA cables, the power cable, or the PS2 itself
Reply
Let me look and see if I have replacement cables
Reply
I have a replacement RCA cable for the PS2, interestingly enough

Let me see if that one creates the buzzing sound
Reply
The replacement RCA cable also creates the buzzing sound

So on the bright side, I know what's causing the issue now

On the downside, it means I have to buy a new PS2

It works, but there's a noticeable buzzing sound when I went to edit footage in OBS

The RCA input on the PS2 is the issue, for the record.

Welp... time to buy a new PS2 I guess.
