Well that's not entirely true. He has fans in places. And he's had some fangames. Like the Museum game by Arcane Kids.

Bubsy was created by a game designer who made point-and-click adventure games (or so I was told/understood) but wished to make a sonic platformer.

While Bubsy was considered a failure, it does have a charm. The 2D games may control horribly, but they have an amazing art style.

It was inspired by Warner Brother cartoons. The 2D games have many Looney Tunes esq gags.

Bubsy himself is fairly basic. He has an attitude, but his clothes is just a T-Shirt with an ! on it.

The 2D games were poorly received, getting a 5/10 by some reviewers.

Still, the developers wanted to make it work. So Bubsy continued on into the 3D era.
