But then the ending was absurd

Also don't get why people in BBC comments (although these people are idiots a lot of the time imo) and BBC themselves are saying "After the 85th minute", the commentators were already talking about it by the 80th minute if I recall (and I watched the thing, it was: Algeria get the ball, pass for 3-4 mins, do a half-attack, Austria boot the ball all the way down the pitch, Algeria get it, rinse and repeat until the late goal from them)

The Group Stage has finished!

Now it's time for... Knockout Games! (Scary!)  Eek  OMG

Tie-Breaks work differently in the Knockout Stage, so I've updated the OP with new info! (There are so many rules for penalty shoot-outs, so I just put some basic info and then a Wikipedia link in there for more detailed rules)
