Did you hear about Mr. Wonderful trying to convert an area of Utah the size of Manhattan into an AI data center?

I heard a story about a farmer that sold his massive acreage to the city for super cheap, under the condition that the city would use said acreage to build a park for the whole city to enjoy

The city went back on their word, sold it off, and it's now being used to build a massive AI data center

It pissed the whole city off

yes this is currently happening in Texas. 

state I live in just passed a one year moratorium that stops big data centers for now.

Meaning it's probably still safe to eat at Subway, since none of their trash is fresh

They should be punished just as much, if not more, as the two 20-something-yr-olds who bought an elderly-man-with-dementia's $45,000 vehicle for $500 with the promise of mowing his lawn every week

It's strange that these stories sound similar too

I absolutely hate the whole idea of data centers. I haven’t heard word about any in CT (yet) but believe me i’ll be the first to protest them. Too much valuable and beautiful land to fck it all up with a hideous data center
