im still waiting on them to continue adding people to the "hall of fame" ive spent half my life in this community, hosted plenty of contests, contributed thousands of ideas, got an idea to be added to the game, worshiped jiggmin, what more can i do to show these people that i deserve to be in the hall of fame? you know what, why even bother to be in the hall of fame when no one else here cares or isnt around to congratulate or appreciate it happened or maybe all thats left are the people who are in the hall of fame

These dumbass, toxic kids have nothing better to do than to sit around insulting people to make themselves feel better for some reason. Look man, you can’t pay attention to these ass clowns because they’re kids with psychological problems. I don’t care for their JV discord, either. No one’s saying these things to my face, so why give off that energy. You see what I’m saying? I’m not the first guy whom they’re talking about behind someone’s back. I’m just gonna let it roll off and keep posting; I could care less what these kids think about me.

These are the same kids who aren’t contributing any ideas to pr4, nor are they posting anything worthy of reading.

You can’t be offended and let a child get to you because they’re attention whores who enjoy Tik Tok videos (which I hate). The more you read the Discord messages, the more they’ll get to you because eventually they’ll start talking shit about you too. That’s why I don’t even go there. It’s a waste of my time arguing with children.

I’ve come to learn that people truly don’t appreciate you until you’re gone for a while. If you’re around all the time, always posting wacky ideas or silly, random stuff… then they’ll take you for granted. But once you go ghost mode, people start to miss you; especially when there’s nothing going on in their lives or anywhere else.

I don't think any updates can currently be made to the game, adding people to the hall of fame would need a game update so that's one reason as to why no new additions have been made

Not sure why I clicked on this thread today out of all days, and I know it doesn't make it any better, but just in case, I haven't seen your named mentionned on the Discord even once in the past year, except that one time someone referred to ''the guy with a lot of ideas on the forums''

Oddly enough this time around, yesterday someone was asking out of the blue if someone posting a lot in the chat was your account. Not trying to start a debate here either, it's merely to avoid unnecessary drama

The bar to entry for the Hall of Fame seems to be a bit higher than many people think.
It is not easy to get into it. There are a lot of amazing people who have contributed greatly to the JV and PR2 community, but are not in the Hall of Fame.
The best example I can think of is probably ~JBG~ who has been very active in the community, is serving as Moderator, and has done a lot of design work that ended up getting implemented into PR2.

Those who are in the Hall of Fame are the best or at least extremely good at one or more things.
Here's how I see it:
Master Raiden - Extremely good at speedrunning and winner of many contests
Stunt - Overall activity, serving as Community Ambassador, making heaps of levels for Level of the Week and being good at contests
Colind - #1 highest ranked player at the time of getting into Hall of Fame
AlphaZ - #1 folder at the time of getting into Hall of Fame and has created some amazing levels, one of which is in a Campaign
Overbeing - One of, if not the best level creator and artist in PR2
TRUC - Overall activity over many years, hosting contests and making heaps of high quality levels for contests
Magniloquent - One of, if not the best trapper in PR2, and extremely good at frusting/speedrunning
bi3liu - The best all around player in PR2. Extremely good at trapping and frusting, and #1 player at speedrunning and glitching. Also has an exceptionally deep knowledge of PR2 across the board.
EpicMidget - Very active in the community, extremely good at speedrunning/frusting contests. Also revolutionized macroing.
AspectZero - #1 fruster in PR2 and extremely good at speedrunning. Has an exceptionally deep knowledge of PR2

Pretty much everyone on the list is either the best, or one of the best in the community at something. And once something is achieved, it is harder to justify giving Hall of Fame to someone else who achieves the same thing later. For example, the next person to reach Rank 80 or fold 1 billion F@H points probably won't get into Hall of Fame like Colind and AlphaZ did.

This isn't to discourage you, but I think it is important to understand what it takes to get into the Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, it is not something everyone can get into. And I know this is coming from someone who is in Hall of Fame, but I think I am one of the less worthy people to be in it since I'm not really #1 at anything. It is probably just a combination of being pretty good at PR2 + being fairly active all around.

And with that, I think it is safe to say that Hall of Fame seems to favor contributions and achievements in PR2 more than JV, which is quite a shame since this is also supposed to be a JV award too.
So if you want to try and get into Hall of Fame without spending all your time in PR2, you will essentially be competing with people like Stunt, TRUC and EpicMidget.

from jbg and master raidens response, pretty much the gods wont let me come to Olympus no matter what i do i wouldnt be deemed worthy because another god has already done that before me and is way better than i ever will be to join the family in Olympus.

 you're one of the reasons why i thought i had a chance to be in hof because i won lots of contests and have a history with the community being a judge and contest host but from reading the room in here, its apparent that i seems that i really never did a good job of it even though it was a time consuming few years of my teenage to adult hood life. after reading your post, i now know that all of the stuff i did in the past is hearsay and really doesnt put a dent into being put in the list, its all about what everybody thinks of when they see my username from what i had done without having to look it up.

That's a pretty long list of achievements and contributions. Maybe if Hall of Fame was introduced in 2020, you would be on it.
But for some reason, they don't value things from the past as much

I don't think that's the reason why there is low activity here, but if it was, then those people are weird.

People talk about how awesome AI is and how they use it for so many things, but are not willing to help AI become better.
Similar to privacy concerns in Google Street View. Most people probably find it very useful, but some places like Germany did not have Street View until only a few years ago because they were too concerned about their privacy.
If everyone was like them, Street View would not be a thing.
