Simple. For all one player races, there'd be an option to restart the race while in a race. PR3 had this with its campaign levels. This would make it so that you wouldn't have to quit out of a race and wait for the level to draw again before being able to race again. For those practicing levels for GGP, it would be quite a blessing.

this could also be a 2/3/4P thing, based on a vote system

This is going to be too difficult to implement without running into this bug. If I can fix that, I'll look into this.
