Max exp gained is changing?

Sometimes when I play pr2 the "completed level" bonus caps at 50, sometimes it caps at 25, sometimes at about 35, etc. And i know i've spent enough time. What does the exp limit depend on?

It varies depending on the elapsed level time at the finish.

And also relies on how much exp you already gained in a day (or between server resets quite possibly?)
so you start at 100% exp
then it goes to 75% then to 50%

So for a 2 min race you'd get +50 with no cap, +38 with partial and +25 with full cap
it also applies to players beaten too

I made this exp calculator years ago as far as I know it's pretty accurate
There is a first reduction the second reduction is what you wold most likely see if you already played a lot in a day, which if I recall is half of what no reduction would be Which is what Camer already said.
