He's also distanced himself from the people asking him "when is _____ gonna happen??" and hasn't set a deadline for himself, which makes me think it'll be easier for him to get motivated.
Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if he just got super burnt out before and with people asking him loads he just wanted to get away from it
