I'll wait for 40 series to drop, then hope 30 series drops in price as a result

I'm not paying $1000+ for a graphics card (unless there's a way to get one cheaper)

They're not supposed to be that much in a normal market, (well, the 3080 and under at least that is), if crypto mining remains as profitable as it's been then 40 series isn't going to help too much. That said, crypto has dropped hard lately so we may be upon another crash which would lead to a sudden drop in demand for GPU's and a flood of used GPU's on the used market. Otherwise, have to wait for ETH to switch to PoS (Proof-of-Work is the current system, which requires mining, PoS or Proof-of-Stake works differently and doesn't require mining) and hope other cryptos aren't profitable enough with GPU mining to keep demand super high (I specify GPU mining because Bitcoin for example isn't really profitable with GPU mining, people use ASIC's for that one)

Initially the problem was increased demand from the pandemic, but crypto mining became super profitable again not too long after and has lengthened the GPU shortage substantially. You've got a 2060 from what I remember so you're still doing pretty good but you can always try the Newegg shuffles or take your chances with the Best Buy drops if you want something sooner
