SANDWICHES 🥪🍯🍞🐦‍🔥🥤😋🫢

Listen, one of the most satisfying things to do during lunch time is to sink your teeth into a delicious, scrumptious, mouth-watering, toasted sandwich done right. All your favorite garnishes, condiments, and other toppings on a sandwich to satisfy your stomach! It doesn’t matter whether you’re a carnivore, a vegan, or none of the above… you can still enjoy a sandwich of any kind as long as it meets your expectations. Some people have a favorite fast food chain that they’ll buy a sandwich from, and there are those who enjoy making it from home.

As you can see for me, I love Firehouse subs, man. Just recently, the premium turkey Thanksgiving sandwich caught my attention for sure 👍 Stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, and good ole mayonnaise to kick off a Thanksgiving holiday the right way! Now of course everyone has a different opinion about it, and then there are some of you who don’t even care for sandwiches at all. Either way, it doesn’t matter to me because we’re all different which is something that I always strive to be. To me, $15.99 (plus tax) for a large, Thanksgiving sub is expensive af. But that’s the sacrifice that people are willing to make for the tastiness of the sub that accommodates the quality of it.

The first thing that blew my mind was, why the hell are there not any threads about sandwiches?? 🤔 Well now things are going to be different, thanks to me. Do you guys have any favorite fast food chains, would you rather make your own sandwich from store-bought ingredients to save money, or do you just not care for sandwiches at all? The choice is yours.

Beef on Weck is the best sandwich. Always from some hole-in-the-wall place.

I love sandwiches, but usually prefer to make my own, not a fan of the sandwich shops I've been to (which is basically just the major chains.

Ngl, when I searched the image it looks a lot like something that Arby’s would sell.

What do you normally like to put on your sandwich? I’m curious.

Yeah, it is essentially a different kind of roast beef sandwich. The kummelweck roll is something that is unique to western New York. It really does make a huge difference.

Yes, I agree. It really does make a huge difference because people love to try different things. Even for me when I first tried it I was like, ‘oh shit, this is really delicious.’ So would you ever consider adding any lettuce, tomatoes, onions to it, or would you leave it the way it is? Everyone has their own special way to customize things, so I’m just curious at this point.

No, just keep it simple with the beef, horseradish, and au jus. Maybe some onions could be on it if they were not strained out of the jus. Simplicity is where it is at with this sandwich.

Yeah, especially the au jus on it. I probably couldn’t rock with onions on a sandwich unless it’s really good.

I had sandwiches for lunch every day when I was in school, so I try to avoid them now.

It sounds like to me that you were traumatized by that. You should have asked your parents to give you something different.

Sweet! What’s going on that chicken cutlet sandwich, bossman? Lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, or what?

Subway having 0 votes? GOOD. I don't want to be interrogated and then glared at when I don't know what kinds of lettuces are in and out of stock, I just want a sandwich.

Facts. All it does is drive customers away which is fine by me because I ditched them for Firehouse Subs a long time ago. The only good thing about them is the fact that you can see what’s being put on your sandwich. Other than that, the quality just sucks, now.

I usually make my sandwiches at home cause the vegan options near me are lacking. Nonetheless, the town over has a vegan chicken bacon ranch sandwich that I am quite fond of.

I make them at home as I typically have a rather basic sandwich (either just cheese or cheese and lettuce). If I bought it from the supermarket then it'd be overpriced considering how little effort it is to make.
I don't really consider specific sandwich specialisation shops either (since, once again, the sandwiches I have are pretty basic).

The only sandwich I've ever had is grilled cheeses, I'll probably try other kinds of sandwiches eventually but I've just always been grossed out by them

It’s odd to hear that vegan options are lacking in certain places when all I hear is plant-based/vegan options for stuff being pushed, often. Let me know how that vegan chicken bacon ranch sandwich tastes because I’m just curious.

Just cheese and lettuce? 🤔 That’s kinda odd, imo. Personally, I would at least grill it and put some tomatoes on it. Idk, man… it just sounds incomplete, no offense.

I think Firehouse is a great place to start. On the other hand, I get where you’re coming from. I’ve also been grossed out by avocados. I can never understand why people buy so many of them. It’s like green, mush mash to me.

Camer is a Brit, so it makes sense. They still eat over there like they're still rationing food during the World Wars.

When it comes to large-scale franchise sandwich shops, Jersey Mikes is clearly the best, and you gotta get your order "Mike's Way".

My favorite sandwich shop is an award-winning local Italian shop called Pane Bianco. Their bread alone is the best I've ever tasted, hands down-- it's fresh baked daily in a wood-fired oven.

Yeah, Jersey Mike’s is pretty delicious. Based on what I’m seeing with Pane Bianco, it looks like they’ve got some tasty-looking, exotic sandwiches - kind of reminds me of Panera Bread in a way. Pane Bianco’s franchise must not be very large, globally because I don’t have any where I live.
