That video was uploaded only 3 months into YouTube's creation. I think what happened was it was originally 720p, but got upscaled to 1080p by YouTube itself. If that is the case, then the first actual YouTube video in FHD wasn't until much later; not until The Muppets - Bohemian Rhapsody. That would also explain why gg has a staggeringly low view count.
There's also an article from November 12, 2009 (11 days before that Muppets video) saying that FHD uploading was just added to YouTube, sooo yeah. Kind of proves it.
