http://prntscr.com/s7l0rf
got a problem with lines 31-36
its supposed to catch the exception if there is a non-number character in the string
but it doesnt catch it if its the last 3 characters i.e "123-45-7abc" is apparently a valid SSN format according to my code (but its not supposed to be)

Making this thread just cuz I feel like typing it out and posting it somewhere will help me keep track of what I'm trying to do...hopefully idk
What are your short-term goals?
Currently mine are to learn how to use DAWs more complex than Audacity, starting with Reaper, and to get better at coding, perhaps learn a new language or polish up what I know so far about java. Possibly start learning to build a PC

Limit eggs' weapons |

I want to make a level with enemy NPCs, using the eggs and their ability to shoot lazers. However, the eggs are unpredictable with the weapons they use. It'd be cool if when you limited the items available in item boxes, the eggs subsequently were limited.
Not sure if this would be possible to code but it would make for some fun level ideas.

Search by game mode / tagging |

As per request of @bls1999 I'm posting this here as a reminder.
Add a option for more filtering parameters when searching for levels, allowing users to filter by things such as "level type"
eg Race, DM, Egghunt.
Possible expantion into a tagging system to expand filtering to sub-types like frusts and traps for the future.

GPU probelms-Bad work units |

I've recently started folding again and have been having a lot of bad work units, around 95% of work units are failing.
I've folded successfully in the past on this card (AMD r9 290X). Yesterday I tried updating driver and going back to an even older driver, uninstalled and reinstalled folding at home all without success.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or is my card dead?

Must be a string, string given |

I was helping a friend with some PHP. It was working fine on my computer but failing with no errors on his. I told him to add the debugging code listed below to show the errors:
PHP Code: ini_set('display_errors', 1); ini_set('display_startup_errors', 1); error_reporting(E_ALL | E_STRICT);
Upon adding, his machine threw this error:
Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to myFunction() must be an instance of string, string given, called in /file.php on line 88 and defined in /file.php on line 49
So basically, PHP was requiring a string... but throwing an error when a string was passed. Nice job PHP.
Advice: always sync your PHP versions across dev environments! This was due in part to specifying a type declaration in an older version of PHP than I was using.
